Having worked non-stop for God knows how many years, FC decided to give it a rest for a while, not actually knowing if they would ever return. This is the last recording they made, back in 2007, and it is probably their best. Will they ever return? My guess is... too fucking right.

UKHH Review:

I’m guessing from the title, that this could be the last Fat Club album? Still, De La are still going, so you never know. But, there are not so subtle hints all over the album so I guess it’s over. Fat Club (Mr Monk & Turrok aka Turroe) will be missed by many and judging on this album it could be a sad premature end.

The opening track “God’s Giant Goliaths” feat. Milestone has every ingredient to be a lasting banger, with creative wordplay and a beat that sounds it would knock the world off it’s orbit if played by the population of China simultaneously. Thankfully, this winning formula is not restricted to the opening, for you are treated to huge breaks and Turrok’s unmistakable rhyme style on numerous occasions. From the Gregorian chant driven monster that is “Wonderland” to the Wales & West posse cut “All City”, Fat Club sound anything but dead.

If this is to be the end, then so be it I guess. At least Fat Club are leaving on a high and in my opinion, their most rounded and ultimately listenable release they’ve done. R.I.P. F.A.T. C.L.U.B.
